Reflection/changes

REFLECTION

I really enjoyed this class.  The overall flexibility and pacing of the projects was adequate and I understood what was expected of me.  I like the fact that what I have created as a result of this class is something usable.  Often times in online classes students just read articles, watch videos and respond to discussions.  I really like making something useful in the classroom.
I plan on using this to beef up a lesson I already teach.  My students will have the ability to view the exact same materials we use in class at home if they like.  This greatly helps my students who are at home or sick.  I could also have students complete part of this assignment at home as well.  Perhaps they could do their initial pre instruction face drawing at home in order to save class time for questions and guided practice.  Today with all of the new expectations of teachers, it may be a good idea to have them complete some of the baseline information at home for me.

Here are a few of the suggestions my peer reviewers provided me with.  I have added the Nets descriptions, checked layout and my links.  I also added a quicktime tutorial link of a video I created as an overview of quicktime. Everything seems to be fine with me.  I don't feel the need to create a tutorial for Blabberize because the site walks you through each step of creating a video and I have found that my 8th grade students are already really good at guiding themselves through sites like this.
  • add descriptors for the Nets
  • check layout on different browsers
  • check links and possibly add tutorials
